This week, Charles, Rob and I went before the Springfield City Council to get local approval for our Micro Brewer license from the State of Michigan. It was a very weird feeling when they started voting on our resolution. We had been told not to worry that it would go great, but there’s something scary about sitting and being judged. In the end the resolution was approved unanimously and we were officially welcomed to the City of Springfield (Battle Creek area). Two days later, with forms signed and a copy of the resolution in hand, I went in person to hand deliver our license application to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission. Very exciting stuff, at least for me.
