Dairy Tank Mash Tun

Image

It made for a long day on Monday. I left home at 5:30 AM and headed up to Pulaski, WI, not far from Green Bay. In a snowy lot, I was finally able to lay eyes on this tank in person. It looked old and beat up, but it will definitely fit the bill for what we need. The price was great so I bought it, had them forklift it into a u haul trailer and headed for home. Two days later, getting this beast into the building without a forklift was no easy chore. Thankfully, we had lots of help. Now it’s in and waiting for modifications. All we have to do is have a tri-clamp fitting welded on and build a wort collection manifold and sparge arm. Thanks to Julie, Garth, Jack, and my dad for the assist. We never would have made it without you.
